Enhanced Safety Measures

Given that the holiday season has increased travel and that many of our patients remain ineligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccines, we are updating our practice’s safety protocols to reflect recent guidance released by the California Department of Public Health and the CDC. In addition to existing protocols, effective January 5th, 2022, if the patient or any member(s) of the immediate household have traveled outside of California or have had attendees from different households, please note the following prior to your appointment:

For patients and households who ARE fully vaccinated:

  • You must obtain a negative COVID-19 test 3-5 days after returning or hosting, and continue to self monitor for symptoms even with a negative test result

For patients and households who ARE NOT fully vaccinated:

  • You must obtain a negative COVID-19 test 3-5 days after returning or hosting, and continue to self monitor for symptoms.
  • You must ALSO self-isolate for a full 7 days after returning or hosting, even with a negative test result.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to update our office protocols to best protect the health and safety of the OPDSF community. As always, please contact us if you have any questions, and we look forward to welcoming you to our practice.
